What size to pick for the ThinLine Flexible Grazing Muzzle?

The ThinLine Grazing Muzzle is available in 3 sizes:

  • Small: Mini / Pony grazing muzzle
  • Medium: Cob / Horse grazing muzzle
  • Lage: Horse / Draft horse grazing muzzle

If you want to be 100% sure the grazing muzzle fits your horse, you can do a few things before placing your order.

Make sure your halter fits well. The rule for this is about 2 fingers under the jawbone. Measure from the buckle on one side around the lips/mouth of your horse to the other buckle on the side of your halter. Determine the size of your muzzle based on the closest average number from the table below:

ThinLine Grazing Muzzle Warranty

ThinLine Grazing Masks have a 90 warranty policy given the nature of the product. For this to be vaild ThinLine zip ties must be used, a breakaway halter must be used (any brand) and photos and proof of purchase are required. Any modifications or issues caused by normal wear and tear will void the warranty.

Please note: Your horse’s safety is paramount. Safety breakpoints are in place to prevent the risk of injury to your horse while wearing the grazing muzzle and breakaway halter.

Grazing Hole Wear: Most horses get an entire grazing season out of the muzzle, with some getting up to three seasons without showing wear. However, some horses may wear out the grazing hole sooner.

The longevity of the muzzle depends on how vigorously your horse grazes, the fit of the muzzle, the duration it’s worn each day, the pasture environment, and other variables.

If your horse is working overly hard to graze, the hole size may be too small for the grass they are trying to eat. Allowing the hole to enlarge slightly or cutting a larger hole can often solve this problem. *Please note that alterations to the muzzle affect the warranty*

One of the great features of this muzzle is that it does not harm the horse’s teeth or cause painful wear.
