Celebrating Racing Staff Week

Millbry Hill are celebrating Racing Staff Week.
Racing Staff Week, in association with Racing Welfare, aims to celebrate and bring to light all of the incredible hard working racing staff that work tirelessly behind the scenes of the racing industry.
Racing staff are the unsung heroes of the racing world, and it’s paramount that we celebrate all that they do. From the Head Travelling Groom setting off at the crack of dawn, to the Groundstaff who are out on the track day in day out…we salute you!
To work in the racing industry is a privilege, but it also requires hard work, dedication, passion and most of all a love of the sport itself.
The Best Turned Out Series

At Millbry Hill, we believe it is important to give back to the hardworking stable staff for all their dedication to their role. This is why we are so proud to be involved with Redcar Racecourse and an initiative new to 2019, The Best Turned Out Series.

Millbry Hill provide each Best Turned Out winner of every race with a voucher to spend at Millbry Hill, the stable staff also receive a rosette to congratulate them on their hard work and achievement. The Best Turned Out Series has been wonderfully received so far, and the smiles on everyone’s faces say it all!
Amy Fair, Redcar’s General Manager, said: “Stable staff are the unsung heroes of our industry so we created our Best Turned Series, with the support of Millbry Hill, to recognise the invaluable contribution they make to the sport.”
Our Millbry Hill sponsored jockey Ross Chapman

As well as extending our racing sponsorship to Catterick and Wetherby racecourse with the Winning Jockey and Leading Jockey/Trainer championships, we are proud to welcome National Hunt Jockey Ross Chapman to the team as our 2019 Sponsored Jockey!
